Totally understand. I'm a penniless musician who lives off the financial charity of a patron, and I haven't actually held money in my hands for many years. My clothes are all at least ten years old and tattered, I wear them over and over again and sew them and repair them... I look at photographs of girls wearing such pretty things and sometimes wish I could be one of those girls too. But my songs are my pretty things, my songs are my freedom, and in the end I am so happy they're not touched by money.

pretty things are why i'm slowly running out of money. my shopping addiction has reared it's ugly head again.
